Interface for the blogging/placename concept.
What about a 3-D (very thin) container that displays html? I say 3-D because of the 3-D object plugin that seems like it would work well for this.
The 'billboard' could progressively rotate off angle, saving space and increase transparency towards the edge of view to show that other hidden billboards are available.
The one front/center would be face-on. The rest would be fairly unobtrusive. Perhaps mouseover or click would make that billboard face-on and larger to view.
An expandable window panel (like layer viewer) could show a list view with "go" function, sortable by date or other criteria.
