At the request of Jessi - this forum msg listed here (NLT images in polar regions / Posted on: Apr 13 2005, 02:32 UTC)

In the north there are NLT images as far north as 81 degrees north, see sample worldwind://goto/world=Earth&lat=81.00139&lon=-85.08768&alt=870000

while in the south it only goes as far as 56.25 degrees south, see sample worldwind://goto/world=Earth&lat=-56.24944&lon=-68.45430&alt=870000

Even at this latitude it is not complete.

It would be nice to have the same coverage for us in the Southern Hemisphere, especially when we study the Antarctic Continent. To be able to see the coast line with the same details as Greenland would definitely help our students.
