- | "I initially undertook to do this by hand, having to use a hex editor to translate the source boundary data into a format usable by World Wind, but since Canada has the longest coastline of any country in the world, with a large number of islands, it would take a ''very'' long time to complete this task that way." - denelson83 | +

- | Use of the ESRI ARC Export source data is recommended (found on the [http://geodepot.statcan.ca/Diss/Data/Boundary_Files/Boundary_Files_e.cfm source webpage] under "Arc/Info interchange formats"), as it is a plaintext file containing paths of latitude-longitude pairs represented as 64-bit double-precision numbers. The first number in each pair is longitude, while the second number is latitude. This data is found between the "ARC" and "CNT" header strings in the source file. Each line containing seven numbers (e.g. 1 3 1 1 1 4 37, hereinafter referred to as a "path line") indicates the start of a new path, with the last number in the path line indicating the number of points in the path. | +
